A wall calendar inspired by nature, symbolism and optimism
Conceived at the height of the pandemic, this was more than a functional calendar, it became a quiet gesture of optimism. Drawing inspiration from traditional good-luck symbols found in nature, the idea was to reimagine these creatures as carriers of hope, resilience, and continuity. Each form was illustrated as though its natural habitat lived within it, borrowing from the intricate language of porcelain art to create a sense of care, permanence, and craft.

Each month featured a distinct good-luck motif drawn from nature, think beetles, birds, insects, and aquatic forms, symbols traditionally associated with protection, prosperity, and renewal. These were illustrated in a highly detailed, porcelain-inspired style, where intricate patterns and floral habitats were embedded within the form itself. This approach transformed each creature into a self-contained world, blending natural symbolism with a sense of permanence and care.

Designed as a wall calendar meant to live in homes and workspaces throughout the year, the project balanced visual richness with restraint. The minimal layout allowed the illustrations to breathe, while the tactile quality of the artwork invited repeated engagement over time. In a year defined by disruption, the calendar functioned as both a daily object and a quiet source of reassurance and anchoring the brand in craftsmanship, optimism, and thoughtful design.
